Pool and Dock Repairs

The Board has been aware of repairs needed to both the pool and dock wall resulting from aging and normal wear and tear. For several years we have been budgeting for these projects beyond our standard maintenance.

Last year we put out a poll on Nextdoor and the consensus (outside of building a new clubhouse) was that funds should be directed to the pool and boat dock area. In the fall of last year, we met with several contractors who all gave us similar information regarding the extent of the declining condition of the pool and boat dock. We reviewed multiple bids and selected offers for the two projects that best met the needs of the neighborhood.  These bids are well within the amount the neighborhood has saved for this very occasion.

In considering the cost, our covenants and restrictions and impact to the community, we determined that repairing and restoring these areas will make this a more desirable neighborhood and increase the value of our homes. Therefore, the Board has already made the decision to move forward with the necessary repairs. Be assured that these projects have already been budgeted for and will be paid for through our savings. We will not need to take out any loans and this will not result in any increase in dues.

We are excited for the repairs and that the community will be able to see their dues at work.  A detailed presentation will be given at the annual meeting and all questions can be answered at that time.
